Soundmonk Studios™ - Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all remote, off-site, and non-attended services provided by Soundmonk Studios LLC ("Soundmonk Studios," "we," "us," or "our") to any client, customer, or user ("Client," "you," or "your"). By engaging Soundmonk Studios for services, you agree to these Terms. 

 

Soundmonk Studios operates as a remote-first audio services business. Clients do not attend sessions in person and do not access Soundmonk Studios’ facilities.

1. Services

Soundmonk Studios™ provides spoken-word audio cleanup, restoration, editing, and delivery- ready audio preparation for podcasts, voice recordings, documentary dialogue, and institutional media.
Services focus on improving clarity and reducing distraction while preserving the natural tone of the original recording. Soundmonk Studios does not guarantee the complete removal of all background noise or acoustic artifacts where source recordings are limited.

2. Project Scope

Project scope is defined by the agreed service tier, project description, or written proposal. Any work requested beyond the agreed scope may require additional fees.
Examples of scope changes include:

  • additional recordings or episodes

  • extended audio duration beyond agreed limits

  • additional revisions or deliverables

3. Payment Terms

  • For one-time projects:
    • Projects under $200 require full payment in advance.
    • Projects over $200 require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining balance due prior to final delivery.
    For recurring services or retainers:
    • Monthly retainers are paid in advance at the start of each month.
    Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.
    Final files will be delivered after payment has been received.

4. Revisions

Reasonable revisions are included when they relate directly to the agreed project scope. Revisions that involve new edits, additional audio material, or significant changes to previously approved work may be billed separately.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing:

  • complete source audio files

  • clear instructions regarding deliverables

  • accurate spelling of names, titles, or narration content

    Soundmonk Studios is not responsible for issues caused by incomplete or incorrect materials provided by the client.

6. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are discussed prior to project start. Timelines may vary depending on project size, scheduling, and complexity of the source audio.
Rush delivery may be available when scheduling permits and may incur additional fees.

7. Voice Talent (Partner Services)

Voice-over recording services may be provided through independent partner voice talent when required by a project.
Voice talent operates as independent collaborators. Talent availability, performance, and fees may vary depending on the project scope.

8. Cancellation

If a project is canceled after work has begun has requires a deposit, the initial deposit is non-refundable. Any additional work completed beyond the deposit amount may be invoiced accordingly.

9. File Storage

Soundmonk Studios may retain project files for a limited time after delivery. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups of final deliverables.

10. Limitation of Liability

Soundmonk Studios provides professional audio services but cannot guarantee perfect restoration of damaged or poorly recorded audio. Services aim to improve clarity and reduce distraction within the limits of the original recording.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Soundmonk Studios for services, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
